Branding Foundation: Logo Suites
NOT JUST A LOGO
Making a logo is just one piece of your brand. It involves fonts, maybe illustartions/icons, and colors! Without those, no logo truly represents your style. Easy-to-use stock images from Canva or the internet are acceptable, but they aren't always custom or on-brand for you. Selecting fonts and colors to use on your logos, website, and other branding material is so important! It's vital to create consistency in your brand as you do in your photo editing. Just think of any major brand: Target, Starbucks, Walmart... You can visualize their logos and brand colors immediately. That's what I'll do for you! This is the first step. Every business deserves an on-brand custom font selection, colors, and memorable logos to make the perfect foundation. Eventually, your audience will come to recognize you if you use your branding foundation and logo suite! How cool is that?

Custom and tailored color selection for you to use on marketing materials, website, printables, and literally anything.
There are about 10 million colors. I will select your core colors, ranging from 5-12 colors, that match your aesthetic, brand identity, and maybe your favorite colors! You won't have to randomly select colors on Canva anymore. These will be your specific colors that our audience will come to know.
font selection |
Custom and tailored font selection to eliminate random font usage. I will use these fonts on your logos and you can use them on branded materials!
what is a logo |
A logo is symbol or design to represent your brand, business or company. It can be composed of typography (fonts), illustrations/icons, and shapes.
main logo |
A main logo is the simplified or most used version of your logo suite. This is your bread-and-butter logo. It will go on most materials and will be recognized often if used properly.
secondary logo |
A secondary logo is a logo that is used for alternative situations or for more specific reasons. Usually, secondary logos provide an alternative version of your main logo or serve as an artistic expression. Secondary logos are the ones you will usually find on Pinterest and in your saves. They are the 'second children' of the logo suite.
submark or brandmark |
A submark or brand mark, depending on who you talk to, is a simplified logo buddy to your main and secondary logos. Usually comprised of initials, the date established, and an illustration or icon. It's used in small or tight situations where your main or secondary logo won't work.
illustration and/or icon|
An illustration or icon is a visual representation of something that pertains to your brand. It can be something sentimental, like a locket, or something specific, like a tool that you work with often. I do mostly illustrations, so you have seen them a lot on my Instagram page!
Some brands may choose to have one or two icons, like a bullseye or a white dog. Or even a siren on your favorite coffee drink ;) Icons are more for industrial and commercial brands than artistic small businesses. But it can go either way!

A complex line art logo is the most extra logo you can have. It is comprised of detailed artwork that sets a scene, tells a story, or shows something sentimental. Not every brand will need one of these, but they are sure beautiful!
signature |
A signature is a digital signature of your name. Say you are writing a bunch of emails and you are tired of writing "xoxo Em"; you can get a signature that will be embedded in the email, so every email you send will have your custom signature. For the font, I use your font selection to make it consistent.
google drive folder |
A Google Drive Folder is your own custom folder with your prep questionnaire (s) and a place to drop your inspo and photos. I also upload your finished color palette, fonts, and logo suite to the same organized folder. No need to check emails and run around finding materials. It's all in one spot! Easy!

What if I don't like it?
Here I expect complete honesty with all of my clients. If you don't like something or need changes, tell me! The worst thing you can do during your session is people-please and fake that you like your branding suite.
We will have many checkpoints throughout the session for you to voice your opinions.
What if I am in a rush and have a hard deadline to meet?
Just ask! I may be able to reasonably accommodate your prjects.
What if I need to add on more?
Just ask! Every package is buildable.
